The Meher Spice Take away first opened its doors in April 2007 and aims to combine traditional Indian  dishes with many other dishes never before served in

Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

Our main objective is to provide modern food of the highest quality using only the freshest and finest ingredients to the highest standards. All our food is cooked with natural herbs and spices and we use only low cholesterol sunflower oil in our dishes.

By ordering a Tandoori dish you may ask the question: What is a Tandoori? Tandoori is a Clay oven made from very special clay, and all the food is cooked or grilled on a charcoal fire in the Tandoori. This is a natural way to cook natural meat. Tandoori is a showpiece of Indian Culinary art and is as old as Asian civilization. Practically no fat is used to cook any Tandoori dish. So, Tandoori is God's gift to the weight-watchers.

We present to you an authentic taste of all over India and Bangladesh.. Bangladesh the land of the exotic and enchanted with its contrary cultural practices, has performed by the truly invisible commonality of its genuine and exotic cuisine.

It is celebrated for the large variety of its dishes based on the intelligence and artful combinations of spices developed over many centuries.

The chef here at 'Meher Spice' has put in his great effort to create & provide our guests with the delights of Bangladeshi culinary. It is famous for its Tandoor (clay oven),    Bar B Q dishes, Nan, Roti, Palau Rice (Basmati Rice). Including exotic appetizers, curries & desserts are very well presented, as well as savory selections of vegetables & non-vegetables. Pakoras & Salad Bar are for your sampling.
